2006 SPRING BEAR HUNTS |

The grizzly bear population in Alaska's Game Management #19 are at an all time high. All of Unit #19 are considered "grizzly bears" by the Safari Club International and a good portion are considered grizzly bears by Boone & Crockett.

Over the past ten years our clients have placed many grizzlies in top 10 SCI, and good amount have qualified for B&C. Several have qualified as brown bears - depending on location. Average hides have squared well over eight feet with many over nine feet.
Contact some of our clients and see why these hunts booked full every year. Typically if a spring hunter doesn't take a grizzly, he will re-book for the folowing spring with us!!

2007 Spring Bear Highlights

John Van Deurzen, Alberta, Canada, not from the lack of hunting or seeing bears, has
decided to come back and hunt in spring of 2008 for the grizzly he left behind.

#3 Bear taken Spring 2007

James Herle from Whate Gull, Alberta took this 9' Grizzly at 20 yards with one shot to the center of the chest. James stalked this 25 14/16 skulled monster after it had killed two grizzly cubs.

Joe Corio, North Cambia, PA scored on a beautiful blonde Grizzly,
April 28th, 2007 after a climb in mountains that would make sheep hunting seem easy.

April 17th 2007
2nd time Stoney River Lodge client, Ron Troy, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa,
took this great 9' Grizzly within yards of the den.

Brian Hicken, Alberta, Canada, with blonde grizzly bear & also took this
Black Bear (below) on the 10 day hunt. Re-booked for spring of 2008
